Discover beautiful Kassiopi and what the North East has to offer

Kassoipi is the jewel of the Emerald Isle, Corfu.  Historically Kassiopi is of great importance. A Roman supply post in the 3rd century and with Kassiopi Castle dating back to the Byzantine period in the 11th century, its much more than a usual Mediterranean tourist destination.

More recently Kassiopi has evolved from a traditional fishing village and has grown into a modern & affluent holiday resort which has charmed visitors with its rich heritage and unique position in the Northeast of the Island, whilst maintaining that historic Greek feel.

Kassiopi central square is a mere 12 minutes (1km) gentle walk from Little Olive Press.  With abundant fantastic restaurants serving 'catch of the day', trendy bars where you can people watch, walks around the headland and an array of beaches Kassiopi has something for everyone..

If you are looking for day time activities you will not be disappointed either.  There are a number of excursions provided by the agents in the village, including Corfu Town, Old Perethia and Mount Panokrator day trips.  Also a number of different boat trips from the harbour, or even hire your own boats for the day to find those secluded bays yourself!

Corfu's North East Coast

The Northeast coastline of Corfu is world renowned and stunningly beautiful and Kassiopi is the perfect place to base yourself to explore what it has to offer. 

This image is of Kouloura and has to be one of the most photographed places on the island, and you can see why!

AVLAKI:

A long large pebbled beach with crystal clear waters and awarded the blue flag for cleanliness.  The beach spans from Erimitis Nature Reserve to Kassiopi.

There are also two well renowned tavernas both serving lunch and dinner.

Less than a 5 minute drive or can be walked in 25 minutes

ERIMITIS NATURE RESERVE:

Park at the southern end of Avlaki beach and take a hike into the nature reserve to find the secluded beaches of Arias, Tzoufka, Akoli and Vrachili.

SAN STEFANOS:

Affectionately known as "Kensington-on-sea" and once a traditional fishing village has become a draw for the super yacht owners in the summer months.   A very very trendy part of the NE coast and with fantastic restaurants right on the harbour  is a must visit, if only for a cocktail at Damianos Bar.

KALAMI:

Home of the Durrells 'White  House' which is now a guest house and renowned restaurant.  A Pebble beach with several tavernas based right on the beach. A beautiful spot for an evening meal or if you are an early riser, the sunrise is magical.

Only a 14 minute drive / taxi

AGNI:

A beautiful traditional settlement which is virtually totally unspoiled, With four excellent fish taverna right on the beach, Nikolas Traditional Taverna being one of the best on the Island.

Another spot for the super yachts in the summer.

Only a 20 minute drive / taxi

OLD PERITHIA:

One of the most unique places on Corfu and a must visit.  A Venetian village established to be hidden from the pirates of the Mediterranean, it was abandoned in 1960's however since 2010 it is gradually being restored and has a number of fantastic traditional tavernas and some amazing sights to see
